I am Assistant Professor (Profesor Adjunto, Grado 3) at the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y de Administración (FCEA), since August 2026, and Assistant (Grado 2) at CMAT, Faculty of Sciences of the UdelaR, Montevideo.
Before I was Assistant at IMERL, Faculty of Engineering, from March 2024 to August 2026, and PEDECIBA postdoc at Udelar, Montevideo, from September 2023 to August 2025, where I worked
with Matilde Martínez and Rafael Potrie. Before that, I obtained my PhD at LPSM,
Sorbonne Université, Paris, under the supervision of
Yves Coudène.
The general goal of my research is to understand the dynamics of geodesic and horocyclic flows through the topological and ergodic properties of their stable and unstable foliations, ranging from weakly hyperbolic settings — where the amount of contraction and expansion depends on the point, or where the system has a central or neutral direction — to the classical strongly hyperbolic setting of Anosov flows. More precisely, I work in these settings:
- Horocyclic flows or horospherical foliations of surfaces or manifolds with nonpositive curvature or without conjugate points.
- Foliated horocyclic flows.
- Rigidity of the unstable foliation of hyperbolic systems.
- Noncompact hyperbolic surfaces and their stable sets.
